There are so many incredible and accessible DIY projects, it's hard to choose which ones to do. I hope to highlight some of my favorite or new-to-me inspiring ones for you. Up first, this special and neat project that will turn your very own photos, artwork or magazine spreads into a modern visual moment. The project - paper weaving. #Rad

Here's a quick overview:

  • Color copy the art you want to weave.
  • Take two blank sheets of 8.5 x 11 paper and use a ruler to mark and draw the lines
  • The first page will be vertical lines that measure 2 cm apart. The second page will be diagonal lines that measure 3 cm apart. Leave space on the top and sides (See photo above for reference)
  • Now take your photocopies and secure them to the back of each page and cut along your reference lines.
  • Now start weaving under and over. The first strip should be pushed to the bottom left. Keep going from there on top of the next. Your weaving patter will slowly go to the top right.

There you go! There are endless possibilities with visuals, color and style. Create a collection of 3 to add to your walls. But, mainly, have fun! Check out the full tutorial can be found on one of my fave sites, Freshome
