CURRENT TREND + EASY DIY...SHIBORI

I have always loved trends. Not because they are "of the moment" but because it's a fantastic way to learn about what people are loving and, perhaps, get turned on to something that you love too. A new trend that is back in the mix from 2014 that I am currently loving is shibori, a Japanese form of fabric dying where you use techniques such as twisting, folding, binding, and compressing fabric to create unique, beautiful patterns.
What may look like indigo tie-dye at a quick glance actually involves a special way of folding the material. But, don't worry, with some awesome tutorials out there, it's easy to learn how and tons of fun! I've rounded up a few DIYs for you to enjoy.
