I have always loved trends. Not because they are "of the moment" but because it's a fantastic way to learn about what people are loving and, perhaps, get turned on to something that you love too. A new trend that is back in the mix from 2014 that I am currently loving is shiboria Japanese form of fabric dying where you use techniques such as twisting, folding, binding, and compressing fabric to create unique, beautiful patterns.

What may look like indigo tie-dye at a quick glance actually involves a special way of folding the material. But, don't worry, with some awesome tutorials out there, it's easy to learn how and tons of fun! I've rounded up a few DIYs for you to enjoy.
