My favorite design experience happens in the small details. Those thoughtful, fresh moments that are created with kindness and style. Smiles all around. This is exactly what I believe artist Yvonne Ellen's vision is about. Yvonne creates "unique upcycled vintage homewares" and that they surely are. Clean and fun patterns - stripes, dots, flowers - in simple color combos allow the quirky yet elegant main design to show through - animals. Beyond charming, she has taken the ordinary and added a layer of extraordinary to it. There's something super special about reimagining the every day, right?!

YOU HAD ME @ #DINNERINACREEK

There are dinner parties and then there is dinner in a creek. The fine folks from @BaconLoxSociety threw a pretty fab fete recently in a lovely creek with the Pocono Mountains as the scenic backdrop. (Big love for the area as I went to camp as a kiddo in Stroudsburg.) With a full spread, simple and rustic set-up, floral decor and fine food, guests looked to have an incredible time breaking bread in this quite amazing environment. 

I love that the host thought outside the box. As a wedding officiant and planner, she certainly knows how to concept and create a bash. Why can't you have a dinner party in a creek? With this positive and inspiring scentiment in mind, consider this style of thinking when it comes to designing your life - your home, your friends, your career, your life.

Welcome to Orlov Design Collective, a visual and IRL narrative of interiors, lifestyle, design and happiness.

My name is Rebecca Orlov and I am the gal behind this new space. I'll be sharing inspiration and ideas for creating and making a house into the home that you love. Because it's all about comfort and happiness at home. We all want to #LIVEHAPPY

I decided to create this new blog because I still believe blogging is a wonderful way to express myself and also share and connect with other. As an early adopter to blogging (Hi, January 2008), I have seen the maven stage all the way to the saturated stage and then to now. Now is a good time. Mixed with other awesome social platforms, you can really see a person's story unfold and join in the journey while creating and getting inspiration for your own. #YES
